We are in the thick of awards season right now and the BAFTAs are certainly a big part of that. Held at the Royal Opera House in London’s Covent Garden on Sunday evening, the ceremony is the biggest night for British film in the showbiz calendar, awarding gongs across 24 categories.
The BAFTAs 2015 have arrived, and this is place to find out who won which award. The big winner was Boyhood, with Best Film, Best Director and Best Supporting Actress, but The Grand Budapest Hotel went home with five other awards, beating it numerically.
The Theory of Everything was a triple winner, scoring Outstanding British Film, Best Adapted Screenplay and Best Leading Actor for Eddie Redmayne’s portrayal of physicist Stephen Hawking.
The Grand Budapest Hotel landed the most prizes of the night with five but its biggest win was in the Best Original Screenplay category for writer/director Wes Anderson, with the remaining accolades coming in the technical categories, including Costume Design, Production Design and Original Music.
