SCAD is the University for Creative Careers and “Room in My Head” might be the statement defining my thoughts. Well, it isn’t. “Room in My Head” is an exhibition that combines interior design and photography. The lenses are the media between the reality and the photographers’ perspectives and emotions.
The states of mind are the field explored down this exhibition. By manipulating the architecture, the interiors, the furniture and the faces, the main ambition is “stating psychological spaces”. The artists invited, Janine Antoni, Gregory Crewdson, Sarah Hobbs, Isaac Julien, Laura Letinsky, Zwelethu Mthethwa, Lori Nix, Laurie Simmons, and Mickalene Thomas, are together to celebrate the best of photography and intimate spaces.
The light of the indoor spaces could be the light founded inside those portraits and photographs. The exhibition is being hosted at the Savannah College of Art and Design since July and will end in October, 5. Don’t miss the chance to explore human emotions and wake up yours.
