Today Home and Decoration presents you some amazing Cliff Fong projects.
Cliff is the founder of Matt Blacke Inc., a Hollywood-based interior design studio, and antiques emporium Galerie Half on Melrose Avenue. He was born in New York but spent his childhood around the globe. Cliff is established in Los Angeles and he is proud to consider this city his home.
As an Interior designer, he creates unique, personal and often unexpected environments, drawing from various inspirations, mostly influenced by his background in fashion.
Cliff‘s designs are sophisticated and understated at the same time. Initially, one is greeted with beautifully balanced and welcoming spaces. But when you take a closer look, you see each vintage treasure, each architectural detail, and pieces of fine art, and you confirm that all items blend masterfully together into such wonderful rooms.
Looking at the celebrity homes he’s worked on ,which include Ellen Degeneres and Portia DeRossi, Ryan Murphy, Balthazar Getty and James Franco, Cliff shies away from brash, bold color and wild design, but instead makes his statement in a softer way, creating spaces that feel lived in but still interesting and sophisticated.
In an interview to California Home Design, Cliff stated that he has difficulty in choosing a favorite project among all the ones done , because every project is individual, possessing its own distinct qualities. However, Cliff enjoys most working in spaces that have history, or possess some kind of unique identity.
