AD Design Show has officially started and we want to make sure that you have the ultimate design experience! To make sure you don’t waste any precious time in searching for the places to eat or shop, the Architectural Digest magazine provided a well-organized event guide called AD PRO maps that explains everything you need to know about the 2019 edition. How to Get There?
The famous Piers 92 and 94 are located on the West Side Highway and there are many ways to get there! By subway, all that you have to do is take the subway in Columbus Circle, 50th Street Station, or other stations near Times Square, or you can simply drive to the place. The famous Uber or a Lyft is another incredible way to go because you’ll end up saving some waiting time and money!
Important Facts About the Space:
AS you enter the space for the first time, the first thing that you need to do is to take a quick right to The Container Store to leave your bag or coat in safe space, that way you don’t have to carry them during your visit. Now, if you’re most interested in kitchen, bath, and appliances design the REFRESH section is the first place that you need to discover.
However, if you’re there for a more generalistic interior design fields, such as furniture, lighting, and textiles, then your trip should start in the FURNISH are. For the craftsmanship lovers, the MADE area is going to be complete paradise, since it features unique masterpieces from more than 160 artisans. During your trip, don’t forget to visit the amazing DIFFA‘s Dining by Design area, you will not regret it!
Meet AD Editors:
Every year, the famous AD Apartment is one of the biggest highlights of the show. For the 2019 edition, the inspiring space has been designed by interior designer Sasha Bikoff, one of AD’s New Creatives, that is known for her colorful interior design style with a wide variety of brands. This space is the perfect place to meet the AD Editors, or better the AD legends! Each day, they will be in the AD Apartment starting with the AD PRO opening night party on Thursday from 4:30–5:30 PM. On Sunday from 1 to 2 PM, there will be an AD PRO champagne toast with AD editor in chief Amy Astley and Bikoff.

Where Can You Take A Bite?
No matter how well you pace yourself, you’ll need to take a break at some point. For the perfect visit break, this year the Architectural Digest team incorporated three incredible lounge areas, such as Naula Lounge and the VIP Trade Lounge, as well as additional spaces where you can get coffee and food. The A&D Building lounge space features Wi-Fi, snacks, and more opportunities to network.
Besides these incredible space, you can also get some food in the Butterfield Market‘s outpost, placed in the FURNISH area, that will have Roman pizza, coffee, and tea. Also, the Metropolitan Café by Benjamin Moore will have a breakfast and lunch café, not to mention snacks, desserts, and drinks, opened during the entire design event.
Shopping Area:
Since the majority of AD Design Show exhibitors does not include items available for immediate purchase, you can visit the SHOPS section and buy the perfect souvenir from cash-and-carry retailers. The participating designers in the inspiring shopping area will feature decorative accessories, tabletop items, flowers, and among other inspirational design ideas.
