DIFFA or Design Industry Foundation Fighting Aids was founded 30 years ago by a group of passionate interior designers with the mission to help the HIV/AIDS ill. From a small organization into a national charity reference based in New York City, the design foundation has been helping hundreds of HIV/AIDS organizations spread around the country!
Although the foundation headquarters is in New York City, DIFFA has head offices spread in other cities in the country, such as Chicago, Dallas, San Francisco, and the Pacific Northwest, as well as close partners from the gift & home industries and other communities across the US.
All of DIFFA’s initiatives, including condom distribution and needle exchange programs, raise awareness and grants funds to USA organizations that provide treatment, direct care services, preventive education programs and advocacy for individuals impacted by HIV/AIDS.

Mobilizing the vast resources of the design industry, the design foundation has supported a broad spectrum of programs over the years. From HIV/AIDS care and treatment to education and prevention, DIFFA initiatives have been taken an active role in supporting programs aimed at protecting the legal rights and security of people living with the disease.
Each year, during the AD Design Show, the design foundation enlists companies and designers to outfit a slew of tables to raise funds for its invaluable work! The interior designers that have participated in the inspiring initiative created spaces from conceptual multipurpose spaces to blooming celebrations of spring.
