In Paris, the city of lights and the home of the iconic design is nestled a luxurious and eclectic 1450 square feet apartment, by Boca do Lobo Design Studio. An apartment fit for the most creative minds, this project is one of the many homes of a prolific architect, who also dabbles in the art dealing world. We sat down with the design team behind this modern project – Boca do Lobo Design Studio – to find out more of what it entailed. The client was looking for “a place where classic and contemporary come together” says the studio. A multimillion-dollar penthouse that reflects the owner’s love for collectible design and the client’s needs to have a functional space for work and to be inspired at the same time.

To fulfill his professional needs, the client reached out to Boca do Lobo Design Studio, to create the perfect balanced home. “The client’s first contact with the brand was in Paris, in our showroom” recall the Boca do Lobo representatives, “where the pieces captivated his attention“. Lately, when he was sure the project was going to happen, “the client joined us in Portugal and went to our design studio, showroom and production”.

Exclusivity and quality were two of the most important requirements and Boca do Lobo‘s pieces fulfilled all the needs. “After one meeting we decided that the apartment should be artistic and luxurious, but also functional. A space to work, but also to leisure”, a place where even in the comfort of his home when brilliance strikes, no time is wasted in putting pen to paper.

As Boca do Lobo has always had a strong bond with the French capital, becoming the furniture brand’s center stage for its most ambitious design to date, was an obvious choice. Boca do Lobo Design Studio was about to create one of the most luxurious apartments in the heart of Paris.

The team knew exactly where to start, “We knew that white was the key color of the interior design project giving us the perfect starting point to work in different contemporary design concepts”. A neutral and clean background where everything fits perfectly in harmony. From gold surfaces that express luxury, to carefully hand-painted tiles, and the final touches of marble, every detail was carefully thought out. Embracing the elegant details of classic architecture, this apartment features white French wall moldings, highlighting the classical style of the French windows.

Influenced by the city’s renaissance period, the art-worthy designs and sculptures enhance the decor bringing to life the richness of the history of those before us.

“The apartment has an open space concept that combines all the rooms through one unique style, yet the functional needs and the high-tech amenities separate each area.”

BOCA DO LOBO DESIGN STUDIO

The one-bedroom luxury apartment was fully designed by the teaming collaboration with the architect and owner of the apartment. “The master bedroom, the tailored closet, and the bespoke kitchen were the main challenges in this exclusive interior design project. The fully functional office was also one of the architect’s imperative requests.”

In interior design, the Luxury Entryway is the home’s greeting card and what welcomes those who visit it. Contrasting in the colors but converging in the aesthetic and boldness of the pieces, the Entry Gallery shows that details are everything.

Pietra Round By Boca do Lobo

Playing with function and sculptural form, the Pietra table shapes a timeless experience through its classical aura and finest Estremoz white marble.

Covering the entire Luxury Entryway, on both sides, the iconic and exclusive Heritage Sideboard brings color to an almost monochromatic environment. Composed of carefully hand-painted tiles, this is a design that tells a story, through an ancient Portuguese technic. On the walls, large round mirrors with gold frames, that were specially designed for the client, give the space dimension and the Midas Touch that connects everything.

Heritage Sideboard By Boca do Lobo

Hand-painted-tiles have gained a privileged place in architecture throughout the centuries. Portugal has adopted them like no other country has and in order to honor the Portuguese hand-painted tiles, Boca do Lobo created Heritage Sideboard.

Angra By Boca do Lobo

Bold yet elegant black and gold sideboard. The sharped body is fully covered in black high gloss, and it gently lies in an unexpected curved golden base conceived from hammered polished brass, inspired by the cliffs of the historical city of Angra do Heroismo in Azores island, Portugal.

On the end of this large entrance is featured the modern Pietra round table, carved with mastery in white marble, the key element of this space matching the typical french floors. Illuminating the setting, a beautiful white and gold chandelier brings a contemporary design and futuristic touch to the entrance gallery. Isn’t this Luxury Entryway an absolute dream?

Cubic Sconces emerge as a tribute to the new style in vogue: the minimalist grace of the design allied to the Maximalism strength of the material and foundry technique used will surely be the right choice for any kind of project or room.

Get The Look Of The Living Room

In a wide and bright concept, the living room is one of the main areas in this apartment and the design team worked to build a space “surrounded by art and romantic sculptures that call back to Ancient Greece to combine classic and contemporary, in an artistic symbiosis”.

In the center of the living room lays a new version of the iconic Imperfectio Sofa “this time in a chaise long. This design piece shows that a beautiful and artsy piece can both be aesthetically pleasing, and a comfortable place to rest”. Surrounded by the sofa, the magnificent center table is a product of the Boca do Lobo’s Bespoke Service. This design became part of 2021 novelties debuts.

The aesthetic of the space is defined by the combination of its colors, shapes, and materials. The cream tones in the textiles of the upholsteries, the gold of the brass, and the earth tones of the marble bring the perfect balance and harmony to the room.

Inside of this 1450 square feet apartment lies a Luxury Dining Room where gold brass shines and takes the center of the stage.

N11 Chair By Boca do Lobo

The Nº11 armchair takes the cue from key figures of the surrealist movement such as Salvador Dali and René Magritte and turns their work into a subtle art furniture piece.

The Lapiaz Sideboard takes exceptional craftsmanship and design to a new realm. Consisting of two individual modules, the Lapiaz is finished in polished stainless steel that portrays a perfect mirror, with a poplar root wood veneer interior.

The Glance Mirror tells a story of the crossroads of life and the reason for the chaos. The concept of a defragmented statement mirror brings out its noblest gold backdrop meticulously handcrafted from the most skilled goldsmiths.

But what truly elevates this Luxury Dining Room are the pieces that make this luxury design project a living art-gallery, comprehensive furniture that could easily be considered an iconic collectible design piece such as the imposing Empire Dining Table taking center stage with the Glance mirror and the memorable Nº11 Chair complementing this beautiful and perfectly designed area.

Transitioning into the kitchen area, this project debuts new pieces but also new spaces where Boca do Lobo can be present.

BOCA DO LOBO DESIGN TEAM

The main piece is the dark marble Kitchen Island, another incredible bespoke product of Boca do Lobo, with the perfect amount of gold touch and the minimalistic design, to match the dining and living room. This bespoke piece was designed to break the space and to gather all the ambiances at the same time. Mixing dark tones and illuminated by the gold present in the whole project, this area is not only functional but also luxurious.

Get The Look Of The Master Suite

The Designer’s Team referred that “The Master Bedroom was mainly inspired by the art pieces that the client brings from all the corners of the world, like the vintage black mirror and the rug”, but the center stage it’s the king-size bed. The bed is framed with the handmade Lapiaz Headboard, from Boca do Lobo 2020 Collection. This imposing design piece is inspired by the french word for ‘stone’ that when frizzed, cracks into an unexpected stunning interior revealing all the inside details.

Alongside the rest area, the team conceived a space to rest with two armchairs and the beautiful D. Dinis Fragmented Mirror maximizing the space even more. Now joining Imperfectio family, of the Brand, is a product design for the owner’s best friend, the Imperfectio Pet Bed. “A special require from the client that we accepted a challenge to enter into the pet luxury products”. A comfortable pet-essential piece, particularly resistant to water and scratches.

The master wardrobe design has a central lounge area with two statement armchairs, covered in brass, giving the space an authentic and luxury style.

“Glass doors show the Designer clothes collection and give the closet a feeling of bright and open space.”

BOCA DO LOBO DESIGN STUDIO

Fulfilling this elegant room, the neutral and patterned rug from the brand Rug Society, a partner in this project, works well in the interior design geometry and helps to bring warmth into the luxury closet needs.

The time everyone spends in the bathroom is precious. This concept was the owner’s moto to build an entire efficient bathroom that looks like a private spa. With a green wall to set the mood and a bespoke bathtub by Boca do Lobo, with artistic handmade tiles, this space was perfectly designed to inspire and calm the mind. Not forgetting the sauna area that warms the space covered in luxury marble walls and floor.

Get The Look Of The Office

The reflection of personal style, passions, and aspirations of the private client is the motto for this working space. Leading into the creative room, the hallway maintains the same art gallery-like aesthetic as the entrance of the house “yet breaking the informality of it with the stunning and imposing Millionaire luxury safes with the strong and formal design”, adds Boca do Lobo Design Studio. The Hera Suspension Lamp illuminates the entry of this room, and the marble floor reflects the brightness needed to balance this business yet inspiring environment.

Entering the room where work comes to life, the Design Studio created two distinctive areas according to the necessities of the client. Lounge space with an eclectic style to welcome the guests into a creative talk with the Soleil Sofa and Armchair and the out-of-box Savana Rug by the Partner Brand Rug Society.

The new Garrett Bookcase covers the side walls to provide the maximum storage keeping knowledge on display and bring into this space more character and formality. The center stage of the office is the Empire Desk. This imposing surface is a one-of-a-kind design aesthetic and refined statement that it’s illuminated by the French windows conceiving a perfect place to work.
