The award-winning team of Vernon Applegate and Gioi Tran, combine over 20 years of residential interior design practice in the Bay Area, Los Angeles, New York City and with international projects in Asia.

VERNON APPLEGATE was educated at The University of the Arts, in Philadelphia, where he received a B.S. in Architectural Studies, and has done additional coursework through the University of California. He worked for several notable interiors design firms in Los Angeles and San Francisco prior to opening ATI.

GIOI TRAN is a strong creative force influencing many distinct fields. He has a long-standing passion for fine arts and dance but has built his career in the design field. He received a B.S. in Interior Design from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, and in 1999, with Vernon Applegate, established Applegate Tran Interiors – a San Francisco-based firm specializing in residential design with projects in France, New York, Hawaii, Panama City, and Vietnam. In 2007, Gioi has launched a furniture line manufacturer that is now represented in San Francisco, Chicago, and Los Angeles. His current project is a collection of a lighting line soon to be featured at Sloan Myasato.

In their attention to all details when they grab a project, they not only focus on interior design, but they include all the interior architecture of the spaces, blending them together and creating the most brilliant room decorations.
