Today we present you 10 incredible interiors by Steven Volpe.
Steven Volpe is having a full year, and it has just started: he was named in the Architectural Digest AD100, as well as distinguished as one of the 100 Best Interior Designers by Boca do Lobo & Coveted Magazine, that will be launched at Maison et Objet Paris, counting on a special supplement developed by Boca do Lobo and features a curated selection of 100 Influential Interior designers.
A “Thoughtfully modern” style, and influenced by Carlo Scarpa, Sir Edwin Lutyens, Louis Kahn, are some keywords to describe Steven Volpe.
Early in his career, Steven developed a love for unconventional juxtapositions – modern and antique, stark and ornate, bold and subtle – that can be seen in his work today on both large and small scales.
Through his early work in San Francisco and Paris, Steven developed a finely-tuned eye, having worked for several accomplished designers including Anthony Hail and Eleanor Ford.
When Steven moved to Paris in his twenties, he took advantage of opportunities to study design firsthand, immersing himself in European techniques, history, and theory. These studies and Steven’s savvy curatorial sensibility—appreciated by Silicon Valley tech giants and international connoisseurs alike—also guides the program at Hedge, the adventurous San Francisco design gallery where Volpe and co-founder Roth Martin highlight innovative work by Arik Levy, Sam Orlando Miller, Ritsue Mishima, and others
From his historical Jackson Square office, Steven and his staff now orchestrate design projects all around the world.
