Interior Lifestyle China, presented last month a Talent contest, organized by Mess Frankfurt, which have presented national and international Brands, to the Chinese market within high-end design.
This event gave the opportunity to young designers, to show and demonstrate their talent at an inter-nation level. The exhibition was attended by local designer, but also of European designers who were able to put into practice some of the current techniques that fuse innovation with traditional craftsmanship.
The Frankfurt-based designer presented just a couple small tabletop objects as well as a sample of a bespoke wall treatment that he has developed.
Kai Linke deserved special mention with its W02 Blasted surface, and with the collaboration of Altenbrandt Catrin and Adrian Niessler in the design of graphics for W02 Blasted.
The W02 is a project in which they note the tendency of Kai Link in creating textures through materials like wood, but this time presenting something new, through dimensional panels, but this artist not always work with wood, in the event we could see another special piece, the PI mirror, which is available in two forms, in a cube or a rectangular shape.
The Blasted Vases, were another unique pieces, showed, also created from wood, with the same technique used by the artist, the sandlasting process, that results in a granular texture.
Kai Linke founded his studio in 2009 after graduating from the Department of Industrial Design at the Academy of Art and Design Offenbach, Germany.
