Mary Anne Smiley, recognized by her peers as one of the top designers in Dallas, was born in Seminole, Oklahoma and is an honor graduate of Oklahoma State University.
One of the first designers registered in the State of Texas, Mary Anne Smiley has been featured in a myriad of publications and is the recipient of numerous awards for excellence in design. Mary Anne has been on the Best Designers in Dallas list since 2007 and was celebrated in 2013 as one of the FAB FIVE TOP DESIGNERS IN DALLAS by Luxe and Roche Bobois.
She is known for her use of pure color and pearl finish backgrounds, and for her avant-garde use of contemporary art.

Open, airy, spacious, organized, comfortable are the keywords for this Frisco home. The client’s words for what she was hoping for in a dark home, made more so by dark walls and wood trim and heavy dark wood floors.
Removing unnecessary dividers and opening up small spaces created so much more space visually. Stunning, sophisticated, light, and inviting!
In this Highland Park Home, Mary Anne replaced dark wood and faux painted walls with light airy colors and added an exquisite mix of classic contemporary pieces, custom designed furniture and rugs, unexpected accessories and great art to help to satisfy a young couple’s desire for living contemporary albeit in a “basic traditional”.

With just a month before Thanksgiving, this Meadowood home was transformed into a welcoming, color-infused space for extended family and friends to enjoy.
Art was a major influence for this project as they already had a small collection started. With white walls and neutral furnishings, the color was brought in with the art and pillows.
This stunning 6-bedroom get-a-way home in Vail, Colorado uses state of the art materials. From art glass counters to a 3form round shower, and other exciting design solutions, make this home unique in any setting.
The inspiration was the winter feel and colors I experienced during construction. Elements were used to reflect the beauty of the soft snow and crystal ice landscape.
The ultimate classic contemporary dream house based on a never built design of Frank Lloyd Wright brings 40’s classic into the 21st Century with diamond polished concrete floors, fully appointed round kitchen and bath, carefully selected custom furnishings and finishes, and of course, a spectacular view.
