Nick Olsen is graduated in architecture and, during his studies, he was mentored by the decorator Miles Redd. Nick Olsen Inc.’s interior design style is inspired by antiques and contemporary art, playing with scale and texture contrasts, and creating unexpected color combinations – all while tending to the unique needs of each client.

1. Millbrook Home
One of the oldest homes in Dutchess County, this charming Colonial was the perfect setting for an unexpected take on country living. This project is full of color with big antique inspiration.
2. Cincinnati Home

3. Greenwich Village Townhouse
Nick Olsen likes to create comfortable and stylish interiors that nod to the past and his architecture sense of humor while maintaining an air of modernity.
4. Kips Bay Show House
Inspired by the great French salons of the 30s and 40s, Nick created an informed and merry melange of styles and eras. Channeling the sophisticated global mix in Yves Saint Laurent and Pierre Bergé’s Paris apartment, there are references to Jean-Michel Frank for Nelson Rockefeller.

6. 875 Fifth Avenue
Calling this apartment colorful would be a total understatement. Each room of the Lenox Hill co-op, at 875 Fifth Avenue, is decked out in bold paint colors, artwork, and decor. This space was renovated in 2014 by the interior designer Nick Olsen.
7. 1840s Brooklyn Townhouse
Using electric colors and playful patterns, designer Nick Olsen takes a historic Brooklyn brownstone from stately to sensational.
8. West Village Apartment
In this generous one-bedroom in the West Village, Nick worked with the client and contractor to rework existing features to fit the swank Art Deco vibe of the building which it occupies.
