The 2014 Oscars are likely to be very colorful if the Fall 2014 runways were any indication. From scarlet to fuschia, royal blue to grassy green, bold hues were the stars of Fashion Week in February.
It wasn’t that surprising to see vibrant shades on the Christian Dior runway. But even minimalists Jil Sander and Alexander Wang dipped their feet in colorful waters. A-list stars got the memo. During award season the last six weeks, top stars have gone bold and bright every chance they got.

In a sea of color, Jennifer Lawrence, Amy Adams, Lupita Nyong’o, Cate Blanchett and Sandra Bullock will need to pull out all the stops to win Best Dressed. They should take a look at these seven showstoppers for inspiration.
1. Reese Witherspoon’s Eggplant Nina Ricci Gown – Oscars 2007
