Considered one of the most talented artists in China, Yang Kun’s luxury home is an interior design project by Meng Ye, director Meng Ye Space Creative Design Office. His studio dedicates itself to customizing unique high-end residential spaces for the Chinese elite, prioritizing innovation and boldness. A project full of great names, great pieces, and great artists, and of course Boca do Lobo couldn’t be left out.
“My home cannot be copied”- this is what best describes Yang Kun’s house.
YANG KUN
Accomplishing the expectations of the customer, the home is a multifunctional project, covering three dimensions essential for Yang Kun: life, exercise, and work.
From unconventional areas such as a gym, a music studio, and an audio-visual room, to classic living spaces such as a modern bedroom, a spacious bathroom, and a contemporary living room, where Heritage Cabinet from Boca do Lobo found its place, this interior design project truly reflects an artistic soul.
Contrasting colors and a mixture of materials are some of the most common design techniques used by the design firm on this project. The dark green marble in the powder room paired with the brass back panel gives the room a different atmosphere during day or night.
In the master bathroom, a custom sink pairs the iconic look of Diamond Emerald Sideboard (another Boca do Lobo creation), with the amenities needed for a functional bathroom space, creating a custom piece fit for Yang Kun‘s needs.
Every piece has a story and adds an essential charismatic detail. Bold, unique, and creative, this Meng Ye’s project truly shows us that imagination knows no limits.
Living Room & Dining Room | Two separate rooms connected by elegance and boldness
GET THE LOOK
The living room design has an open space concept and is connected to the kitchen island. The walls are artistic and majestic, yet don’t steal the focus from the design pieces. At the corner of the room you can spot the Heritage Cabinet by Boca do Lobo, a furniture design that elevates the ambiance into a new realm. Mixing tradition and modern features, the Heritage Cabinet is the star of the room, standing out with its materials and color.
GET THE LOOK
Walking through the open kitchen, we arrive at the dining room, where amazing pieces enhance the ceiling, the walls, and the floor. The ceiling pendant lights illuminate the central pieces, among them, the Boca do Lobo’s Emporium Gold Chair. Matching the metal tones of the room, the Emporium Chair elevates the marble dining table, which is also surrounded by Kelly Wearstler’s leather chairs.
