Susan Deliss runs an increasingly busy interior design practice, working on both urban and country properties. She combines creativity and originality with practicality. A house shouldn’t just work on paper; it needs to work in practice as a warm, comfortable home. Susan is incredibly hands-on and pays great attention to detail. Each property reflects a collaboration between Susan and her client.

Country House
Starting to put up client’s collection of Astier de Villatte plates, mostly bought from Liberty, on the wall of this country house corridor in a house that she decorated. The client wanted a smart but welcoming and unfussy look. Blind fabric from Blithfield and a warm creamy white from Farrow and Ball.
Headboard in Tangiers stripe by Anna Haines Designs. Tangiers is reversible and drapes beautifully – it makes wonderful curtains when paired with some of the lovely pinks and blues from Farrow and Ball or Edward Bulmer. Tangiers Stripe is lovely and cheerful and warm in any room.
Two chairs that she made for a client upholstered in her Padishah linen that is screen printed by hand in England. She makes quite a lot of sofas and chairs and dining chairs upholstered in the fabrics, as well as ottomans.
