When it came time for AMC Networks (AMC) to update its 10 floors of corporate headquarters located at 11 Penn Plaza in New York City, the American entertainment company called upon The Switzer Group to lead the multi-phase build-out. Complete gut renovations, including architectural, mechanical, and electrical systems, were implemented for the client and its networks — AMC, BBC America, The Sundance Channel, IFC, IFC Films, WE Channel, and their executive group.

Capital One

New York

Capital One expanded to two additional floors at 11 West 19th Street in New York City in order to house their digital campus. They asked The Switzer Group to help optimize their work environment by creating a space that was an open, energizing area where people could work in teams without being in a sea of workstations.

Federal Home Loan Bank

New Jersey

Federal Home Loan Bank desired an upscale, amenity-accessible space in Jersey City, New Jersey, to act as an extension and complement their New York City brand. Capitalizing on the building’s architecture and sweeping views, the 51,824 RSF space is supported by partial open ceilings, intricate detailing, and custom furniture. Supporting materials include marble, glass, wood, and porcelain tile.

IBM Watson Group Headquarters

New York

The dedicated IBM Watson headquarters was conceived as a showcase for Watson’s capabilities, and an inspirational workspace for idea generators of all ages. This includes The Watson Client Interaction Center as well as offices, conference rooms, workstations, collaborative areas, and dining. The Client Interaction Center is where clients come to experience Watson and learn about its capabilities. The M&C labs on two of the floors provide solutions to clients – designing and solving problems for their customers. Half of the fifth floor is where Watson itself resides and is also where clients are brought to solve their problems with Watson.

IBM Watson Health

Massachusetts

IBM Watson Health is an arm of IBM focused on industrial research, having made some of the most notable technological and scientific business breakthroughs of the 20th and 21st centuries. Its main function is data collection and synthesis. IBM Watson Health, working closely with startups and key partners, systematically gathers large amounts of health data, which can provide tailored insights to hospitals, physicians, insurers, researchers, and even patients.

IBM Watson IOT Headquarters

Germany

The new global HQ for IBM Watson Internet of Things (IoT) is a center for customers looking to transform their operations using a combination of IBM IoT and Watson technologies. This living ecosystem, IBM’s first global headquarters outside the United States, consists of more than 10 floors in Munich’s iconic Highlight Towers. The program consists of conference rooms, open area workstations, private offices, a cafe/bistro on the 26th floor, with executives situated in open areas. The Design of agile spaces provides a balanced ratio between collaborative spaces and fixed work stations.

Metropolitan Commercial Bank

New York

Metropolitan Commercial Bank expanded its existing offices by moving to the 12th and partial 13th floors at 99 Park Avenue as a necessary response to the fast growth which the company was experiencing. The Client wanted to create a statement piece reflecting their high-quality customer service while at the same time providing a collaborative environment for the office.

NYS Homes & Community Renewal

New York

Located at 641 Lexington Avenue in New York City, New York State Homes & Community Renewal builds, preserves, and protects affordable housing and increases homeownership while spurring related economic development activity to create business opportunity and strengthen communities across the state.

When the largest independent Hispanic advertising agency in the United States decided to relocate their West Coast office to The Hive in Cosa Mesa, they chose to sacrifice square footage in exchange for shared indoor and outdoor amenities. Casanova McCann dreamed of a workplace that was strategically programmed and elegantly reflected the company’s creative culture through thoughtful branding components.
